Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alec McRaven!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, KJ Noons!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noons defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McRaven.

McRaven shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Noons manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
McRaven is looking to work some ground and pound but Noons has wrist control.
Noons has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Clean and Green. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
McRaven throws a big right hand that misses.
McRaven lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
McRaven postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
McRaven postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McRaven accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Noons avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Noons working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from McRaven.
McRaven makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Noons is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

McRaven working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Noons's head.
McRaven loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Noons can do anything to dispel that myth.
McRaven content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
McRaven throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Noons works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McRaven postures up and lands a big shot to Noons's brow.
McRaven throws a big elbow that misses.
McRaven throwing strikes but missing.

McRaven working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Noons's head.

This has been an exciting period of action!

McRaven throwing strikes from guard but Noons blocks nicely.
McRaven is looking to work some ground and pound but Noons has wrist control.
McRaven has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
McRaven prevents Noons from getting back to his feet.
McRaven keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Noons's head.
McRaven in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Noons is looking to stand up but McRaven isn't so interested in that idea.
McRaven distracts Noons with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
McRaven throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Noons works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
McRaven lands a couple of decent looking shots.
McRaven keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Noons's head.
McRaven throws a big elbow that misses.
McRaven works over Noons with some ground and pound from guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McRaven accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

McRaven pushes down on Noons's leg and manages to get into half guard.
McRaven moves into full mount! Noons won't be happy about that!
McRaven in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
McRaven looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Noons is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
McRaven postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Noons in real trouble here! The ref calls for Noons to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
