The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz blocks a low kick nicely.
Magnus takes one to the side of the head.
Magnus slips under a jab.
Diaz throws a hook but Magnus blocks it.
Diaz has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Magnus.

Diaz throws a hook to the side of Magnus's head but Magnus sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Diaz definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Magnus is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Magnus rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Diaz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Magnus cracks Diaz with an open hand slap.
Diaz looks to throw the jab but Magnus is out of range.

Diaz thows a left - swing and a miss!
Diaz lands a left and a right that send Magnus crashing to the mat, dazed. Diaz thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Magnus is rocked!
It looks like Mirko Magnus has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Diaz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Magnus.
Magnus is still on wobbly legs! Can Diaz finish him?
Diaz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Magnus.
Mirko Magnus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diaz lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Magnus is looking to close the distance but Diaz sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Magnus crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Magnus is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

Nigel Diaz was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
