Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stirling Sanguin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Stirling Sanguin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ben Askren!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanguin has a takedown stuffed.
Sanguin slaps away a takedown attempt from Askren, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ben Askren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanguin stalks Askren and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Askren's face. Askren staggers backwards, shaken.


It looks like Ben Askren has been cut.
Askren keeps the fight on the outside.
We've been hearing reports that Sanguin has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Sanguin looks to land a left hand but Askren moved out of range nicely.

Both fighters circling a little - Sanguin finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Askren is trying to drag Sanguin to the mat but Sanguin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Askren shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sanguin's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Askren shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sanguin sprawls well. Sanguin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Askren gets slowly back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
