With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Malcolm Mitchell!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchell looks to score with a jab to the body but McGuiness is just out of range.
McGuiness throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mitchell staying out of range there.
McGuiness avoids the body shot from Mitchell.
McGuiness misses with a hook. Mitchell ducked under it nicely.
McGuiness misses with a hook
and Mitchell counters with a lovely shot to the body.
McGuiness scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
James McGuiness seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGuiness doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
McGuiness misses with a left hand

and Mitchell counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McGuiness's guard now.
Mitchell tries to free his leg and advance position but McGuiness is retaining full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mitchell works over McGuiness with some ground and pound from guard.

Mitchell tries to pass the half guard into mount. McGuiness knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Mitchell is sneakily working for an arm triangle but McGuiness sees it coming and defends easily.
Mitchell lands strikes from half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mitchell not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Mitchell is landing with some decent strikes but McGuiness is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Mitchell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

It looks like James McGuiness has been cut.
Mitchell postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have McGuiness in real trouble here! The ref calls for McGuiness to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
