PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Demarques BraklyJones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Jee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Jee's choice of entrance music: Get The Funk Out Of My Face. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Demarques BraklyJones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karl Jee!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jee lands with a kick to the temple. BraklyJones shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
BraklyJones throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Jee has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
BraklyJones displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jee throws out the jab.
Jee tries to clinch up.
BraklyJones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jee moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
BraklyJones swings away with a leg kick that misses.
BraklyJones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
BraklyJones avoids the body shot from Jee.

BraklyJones shoots in looking for a takedown. Jee tries to sprawl out of it but BraklyJones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

BraklyJones feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

BraklyJones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jee does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

BraklyJones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jee looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

That was a close round but I would say that Demarques BraklyJones will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

BraklyJones fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jee manages to avoid it.

Karl Jee showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

BraklyJones jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Jee is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Jee and BraklyJones has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

BraklyJones goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Jee has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for BraklyJones but great work by Jee.

I would just about give that final round to Karl Jee.
I think Jee has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
