Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Benedict (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Wimms (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joe Benedict!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jim Wimms!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benedict scores with the left hand. Wimms knows he should have avoided that one.


It looks like Jim Wimms has been cut.
Benedict tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wimms was well out of range. Poor timing from Benedict.
Wimms doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Benedict lands with an uppercut that bounces Wimms off the cage and back into range.
Benedict misses with a looping left.

Benedict throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wimms on the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Benedict stalks Wimms and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Wimms's face. Wimms staggers backwards, shaken.
Wimms has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Benedict finds it's way round the side to connect with Wimms's head.

Benedict shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wimms eats them both and turns towards Benedict to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Benedict lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Benedict.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Benedict, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
