Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denis Pelono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bret Schultz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Denis Pelono has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Denis Pelono! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bret Schultz! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schultz throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Schultz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Pelono counters with a good low kick that Schultz was not able to check. Schultz closes the distance and clinches. Schultz goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pelono prevents it.
Pelono is trying to break free. Schultz is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pelono pulls him back up using the underhooks. Denis Pelono has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bret Schultz. Pelono is trying to push Schultz away but Schultz has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Schultz tries to score a body lock takedown but Pelono shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Schultz keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Pelono's efforts to push away. Schultz has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Pelono is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. A frustrated look appears on Pelono's face as he tries to break the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pelono prevents the takedown attempt.
Pelono breaks the clinch.
Schultz misses with a body punch
and Pelono counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Schultz moves into the clinch successfully.
Schultz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Pelono pulls his leg out and moves away.
Schultz closes the distance and clinches. Pelono prevents a takedown attempt there.
Schultz controlling the action here for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pelono stops a takedown attempt from Schultz.
Pelono wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Pelono is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Pelono is trying to break the clinch but Schultz is controlling him. Pelono is trying to force a seperation but Schultz has the dominant position. Pelono tries to circle away but Schultz has him pinned against the cage. Schultz turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Schultz manages to end up in side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Schultz lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pelono down.
Pelono can't do much from the bottom here. Schultz is looking to take a break and control but Pelono is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schultz goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Pelono has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Schultz but great work by Pelono. Pelono tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Schultz is holding Pelono down, trying to stall. Schultz is not content to let Pelono control the position. Schultz is looking to regain half guard here but Pelono keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pelono advances to full mount. Pelono knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schultz on the ground. Pelono looking to control and managing it successfully. Schultz gets back to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Schultz has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Pelono. Oh but Schultz has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Pelono goes limp - he's gone! Schultz jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
