Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daisu Miyagi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Naoya Shiraishi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Daisu Miyagi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Naoya Shiraishi!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Miyagi or perhaps it was just good defense by Shiraishi which made him look bad.

Miyagi moves into range and clinches up with Shiraishi.

Shiraishi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shiraishi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Miyagi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Shiraishi makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Shiraishi.
Miyagi is looking to regain half guard here but Shiraishi keeps moving and retains side control.

Miyagi throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Shiraishi wants to stand and escape but Miyagi is having none of it.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Shiraishi tries to clinch but Miyagi is having none of it.
Shiraishi keeps the fight on the outside.

Miyagi clinches up with Shiraishi and pushes him back against the cage.

Miyagi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Shiraishi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Miyagi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Miyagi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Miyagi fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Miyagi is standing up, even though he is in mount.
Miyagi throws a sloppy head kick and Shiraishi moves out of range easily.

and Shiraishi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daisu Miyagi. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Shiraishi manages to break the clinch.
Miyagi shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shiraishi but Shiraishi pushes him off and we're back to square one.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Miyagi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shiraishi keeps working.

Shiraishi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Miyagi as he jumps to the side.

Shiraishi is looking to stand up but Miyagi isn't so interested in that idea.
Miyagi trying to control the position from guard on top but Shiraishi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Shiraishi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Miyagi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Miyagi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Miyagi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Miyagi keeps control of Shiraishi as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Miyagi tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Shiraishi smiles and moves away.

Miyagi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Miyagi lands in his opponent's guard.
Shiraishi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Shiraishi uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Miyagi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Shiraishi is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Miyagi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Miyagi's back!

Miyagi won't enjoy being in this position. Shiraishi looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Miyagi is tapping - it's over boys! Shiraishi picks up the submission victory!
