The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson misses with a hook

and Lindi counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lindi.
Lindi wants a takedown but no success here.

Lindi jumps guard and drags Jackson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lindi enables Jackson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lindi manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Jackson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson gets to his feet. Lindi looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Lindi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jackson regains half guard there - taking advantage of Lindi's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Lindi works his foot free and advances to mount.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Lindi working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Lindi can't control as he wanted to and Jackson manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Lindi is looking to stall here but Jackson recovers full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jackson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

It looks like Steven Jackson has been cut.
Jackson shoots in but Lindi avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Lindi manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackson manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Steven Jackson will probably get the nod.

Lindi clinches.

Lindi manages to break the clinch.
Lindi moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Lindi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Lindi closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lindi lands in his opponent's guard.

Lindi has gone for a leg lock! Jackson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lindi's guard.

Lindi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jackson is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Jackson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Lindi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Lindi drives through and clinches with Jackson against the cage.

Lindi gets control of Jackson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Lindi will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Jackson stands and steps away. Lindi gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lindi is pulling down on Jackson's head. It's preventing any offense from Jackson, at least for the moment.

Karbal Lindi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lindi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
