Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bart Vale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Tomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bart Vale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jay Tomi! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tomi shoots in but Vale avoids the takedown attempt easily. Vale is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tomi. Tomi avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Vale lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Vale buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Tomi avoids the head kick by Vale.
Tomi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vale avoids it really well and circles away. Tomi staying out of range there. Vale is looking to chop away at Tomi's legs. Vale connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Jay Tomi has been cut. Nice takedown defense from Vale. No joy for Tomi on that attempt. Bart Vale has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jay Tomi. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Tomi tries for a takedown but Vale sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Bart Vale is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vale lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Tomi looks winded! Vale misses with a head kick.
Tomi checks a low kick from Vale. A head kick misses from Vale. Vale does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Vale sizes up Tomi with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Tomi checks a leg kick. Tomi blocks a jab. Vale throws a head kick that misses. Vale looks to score with a jab to the body but Tomi is just out of range. Vale lands with a slapping head kick. Vale showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tomi.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vale moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vale throws a low kick but it's checked well by Tomi. Vale lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Vale lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Vale throws a head kick but Tomi moves out of range.
Vale thows a left - swing and a miss! Tomi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Vale. Vale obviously looking to wear him down.
Tomi takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Vale connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. A big left from Vale misses. Tomi should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Jab from Vale.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tomi throws a right hand that Vale ducks under and follows up with a left that Vale also avoids with ease. Vale fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tomi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Vale just misses with a punch to the body.
Tomi chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Vale can pounce on him.
Vale throws a sloppy head kick and Tomi moves out of range easily. Vale plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
That has opened up Jay Tomi's cut even more. Vale will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Vale just misses with a punch to the body.
Vale scores with a punch to the head. Vale throws a chopping leg kick but Tomi manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Tomi on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Vale. Vale obviously looking to wear him down.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tomi takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vale throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Vale.
Vale misses with a low kick.
Vale tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Tomi is able to avoid easily. Vale throws a low kick but Tomi avoids it. Vale misses with a low kick.
Vale sizes up Tomi with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Tomi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vale as he avoids it easily. Jab by Vale. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bart Vale dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jay Tomi's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Vale lands with a hook. Tomi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Vale is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Tomi darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Vale wants to control but Tomi is keeping busy.
Vale tries to roll over but Tomi keeps him under control. Tomi uses his free foot to push down on Vale's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Vale. Vale can't escape the position.
Vale tries to hold on but Tomi postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vale is looking to improve his position but Tomi isn't that keen on the idea. Vale knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tomi on the ground. Vale wants to control but Tomi is having none of it. Tomi working for a submission but Vale is keeping him at bay. Tomi is breathing heavily. Vale is desperately trying to improve his position but Tomi has a good base and remains in mount. Tomi lands a nice shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Vale is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vale is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Vale is wriggling around trying to escape.
Vale tries to hold on but Tomi pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vale is working to get back to half guard.
Tomi lands a nice shot to the head. Tomi is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Vale is forced to tap! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jay Tomi! Jay Tomi bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
