Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jeremy Jungman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Muraki Tunamoto! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Winston Howard and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jungman has a takedown stuffed. Jungman tries to land a leg kick but Tunamoto saw it coming and moves away.
Tunamoto fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jungman. Jungman wants to clinch. Jungman fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Jungman takes one to the chin there. Tunamoto connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Tunamoto moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Jeremy Jungman has been cut. Tunamoto throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jungman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Tunamoto sprawls well. Tunamoto wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jungman gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Jungman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jungman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck for Jungman with that takedown attempt. Jungman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jungman shoots in but no luck this time. A slapping leg kick lands for Tunamoto.
Jungman blocks a jab. Jungman misses with a combination
enabling Tunamoto to counter with a crisp jab. Jungman ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Tunamoto misses with an uppercut. Jungman saw that one coming. Jungman misses with an attempted mid kick.
Jungman is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Tunamoto. Tunamoto lands a leg kick that knocks Jungman off balance momentarily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tunamoto lands a leg kick that knocks Jungman off balance momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tunamoto avoids the head kick by Jungman.
Nice jab there from Tunamoto. Jungman tries to clinch but Tunamoto moves away and Tunamoto counters with a stiff right hand. A punch combination from Tunamoto misses. Tunamoto misses with a two punch combination.
Tunamoto defending well as Jungman loads up on a big left hand. Jungman looks to clinch and Tunamoto counters with a stiff right hand. Jungman gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jungman is rocked! Tunamoto drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Jungman right on the button. Jungman goes down! Tunamoto follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Tunamoto gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Muraki Tunamoto! Muraki Tunamoto very nearly forgot to thank Sydney BEAST Clothing amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
