Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ludovic Presle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Squirrel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Squirrel has chosen Zombie Vandals - Zombie Sluts as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Squirrel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Presle to the mat! Presle manages to get full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Squirrel postures up.
Presle working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Squirrel.
Squirrel working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Squirrel missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Squirrel working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Squirrel wants to control from the top but Presle keeps moving.
Squirrel trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Squirrel is working Presle over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Presle is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Squirrel sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Presle's guard.

Squirrel is stalling here. Presle is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Squirrel seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Presle has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Squirrel manages to work his way to half guard, despite Presle's best efforts.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Presle wants to stand but Squirrel has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

That's time! Presle's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Presle bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Squirrel's guard.

Squirrel is looking for a triangle but Presle pushes his legs off easily.
Squirrel controls Presle momentarily but Presle frees himself.
Presle wanted to stand there but Squirrel had control of the position.
Steve Squirrel has got the better of the ground game so far.

Squirrel pulls Presle in close to his closed guard and prevents Presle from doing any damage or advancing position.
Squirrel keeping moving, preventing Presle from controlling successfully.
Squirrel has a closed guard, preventing Presle from standing up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Squirrel takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.


It looks like Steve Squirrel has been cut.

Squirrel is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Presle is just riding it out for now. Squirrel eventually gives up the hold.

Presle tries to roll over but Squirrel keeps him under control.

Presle wants to get back to his feet.
Squirrel is stalling here. Presle is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Squirrel seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Presle has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
You can see the frustration on Squirrel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Squirrel has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Squirrel is looking for a sweep.

Presle thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Presle stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Squirrel misses with a takedown attempt - Presle sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Squirrel moves out of range as Presle strikes.
Squirrel looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ludovic Presle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Squirrel.

and Presle counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Squirrel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Presle avoids it really well and circles away.
Presle throws a hook but Squirrel avoids it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Presle throws the kick towards the body but Squirrel avoids it.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Presle throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Steve Squirrel will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Presle gets caught flat footed, as Squirrel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Squirrel throws a sloppy strike and Presle has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Squirrel is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Presle!

Ludovic Presle tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
