Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dye Tryin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Campbell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tryin's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, On the way home. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dye Tryin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Campbell! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tryin shoots in but Campbell avoids the takedown attempt easily. Tryin throws a leg kick that misses. Tryin jabbing away but nothing is landing. Tryin scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Tryin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Tryin looking to stall.
Campbell landing knees to the body.
Campbell breaks from the clinch.
Campbell circles away from the clinch attempt.
Campbell misses with a takedown and Tryin counters with a nice body shot. Campbell shoots in and drives through. Tryin sprawls well. Tryin is looking to clinch. Campbell shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tryin pinned against the cage. Tryin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Dye Tryin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Campbell. Tryin fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tryin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Campbell.
That's one minute gone in the round. A left lands for Tryin. Tryin drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Campbell has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tryin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Campbell looks gassed! Tryin is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Tryin gets to his feet - Campbell follows without any prompting. Tryin throws a right and a left that both miss. Campbell scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Tryin is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Campbell asserts his dominance and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tryin trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Campbell working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Tryin is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Campbell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tryin keeps working. Tryin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Campbell's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Campbell is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Campbell trying to control the position from guard on top but Tryin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tryin is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tryin wants to get back to his feet but Campbell is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Campbell postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Campbell content to stall in guard here. Campbell looking to pass the guard. Campbell postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Campbell looking to pass the guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Tryin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dye Tryin dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Tryin moves in looking to clinch but Campbell pushes him off. Campbell looks for the body kick but Tryin saw that one coming. A slapping leg kick lands for Tryin.
Tryin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Campbell's waist but Campbell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Tryin off to one side. Campbell avoids the head kick by Tryin.
Tryin misses with a few strikes there.
Campbell dodges the punch combination from Tryin.
Dye Tryin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Campbell misses with a takedown attempt - Tryin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Tryin looks to throw the jab but Campbell is out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tryin closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tryin lands in his opponent's guard. Campbell trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tryin has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Campbell is proving hard to escape from. Tryin trying to control the position from guard on top but Campbell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Tryin trying to stand up but can't free himself from Campbell's guard. Campbell trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Campbell can do anything to dispel that myth. Campbell is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tryin stopping the sweep attempt from Campbell. Campbell keeping moving, preventing Tryin from controlling successfully.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Campbell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tryin tries to avoid it but Campbell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tryin to the ground. Tryin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tryin misses with a wild combination.
Tryin looks to throw a body kick and Campbell makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Horrible takedown by Campbell or perhaps it was just good defense by Tryin which made him look bad. Dye Tryin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Campbell.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tryin is looking to clinch. Campbell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Campbell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Tryin bucks Campbell off and manages to get back to his feet! Tryin wants to clinch and Campbell counters with a takedown into side control. Tryin can't do much from the bottom here. Tryin is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Campbell is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Campbell in side control, throwing shots but Tryin defends. The strikes coming from Campbell are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Tryin manages to get back to half guard. Tryin manages to escape and get back to his feet! Campbell shoots in but Tryin avoids the takedown attempt easily. Tryin thows a leg kick but Campbell checks it and Campbell counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Campbell wants to advance to full mount but Tryin doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Campbell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
No luck for Campbell with that takedown attempt. Campbell looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tryin is fending him off so far but Campbell persists. Nope, Tryin circles away and we're back to standing. Tryin misses with a double jab.
Campbell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Campbell fails with a takedown attempt. Dye Tryin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Campbell. Tryin misses with a low kick. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tryin moves in looking to clinch but Campbell pushes him off. Tryin scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Campbell doesn't seem bothered though. Campbell stuffs the takedown attempt from Tryin. Tryin gets slowly back to his feet. Tryin throws a sloppy head kick and Campbell counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Campbell throwing shots but Tryin is blocking nicely. Campbell missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Tryin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Tryin controlling the position for now. Campbell wants to pass the guard but Tryin is defending well. Tryin is controlling Campbell's position as best he can from this difficult position. Tryin is looking for a sweep. Campbell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Tryin wants to control but Campbell is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Campbell shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tryin's guard. Tryin working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Campbell. Tryin wants to stand and escape but Campbell is having none of it. Campbell trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Tryin manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Campbell looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Tryin puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Campbell is trying to get back to full guard. Tryin escapes and gets back to his feet. Tryin throws a combination that misses and Campbell counters with a head kick. Campbell gets the takedown into side control. Tryin is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Tryin is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Tryin missing with punches from the bottom.
Campbell is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tryin is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Campbell's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Campbell's back! Tryin is hanging on to Campbell's back as he tries to escape.
Jake Campbell has got the better of the ground game so far. Tryin is trying to control but Campbell is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.

And that's the end of the fight! Jake Campbell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Campbell has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
