Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Uso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hector Hernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uso's entrance music is Get Up. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joshua Uso! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hector Hernandez! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uso fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Uso changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hernandez tries to avoid it but Uso manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hernandez to the ground. Hernandez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hernandez tries to clinch but Uso moves out of range. Hernandez tries to clinch up. Hernandez tries to clinch up. Hernandez fails with an attempt to clinch.
A punch lands to the side of Hernandez 's head but he takes it in his stride. A telegraphed right hand from Uso misses the target. Hernandez moves in looking to clinch but Uso pushes him off. Joshua Uso seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Uso is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hernandez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. We've been told by Uso's head coaches at Steel Penn/Heavy Hands Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joshua Uso. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hernandez wants to clinch up but Uso keeps it at a distance. Hernandez fails in his attempt to clinch. Uso shoots in for a double leg but Hernandez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Uso misses with a double jab
letting Hernandez counter with a right hand.
It looks like Joshua Uso has been cut. Hernandez drives through and clinches with Uso against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Uso takes an elbow to the temple.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hernandez lands a right hand that snaps the head of Uso backwards. Hernandez working some nice short punches in the clinch. Hernandez crunches a lovely knee into Uso's ribcage. Uso is breathing heavily. A nice left hand lands by Hernandez.
Joshua Uso's cut is getting worse. Hernandez lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Hernandez lands a nice elbow.
Joshua Uso's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Uso tries to circle away but Hernandez has him pinned against the cage. Hernandez unloads a knee to the mid-section. Uso lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A left hand lands to the body for Hernandez.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Hector Hernandez! Hector Hernandez retains his super heavyweight title! In his post fight interview, Hector Hernandez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
