Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gunner Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bam Bam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bam Bam will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gunner Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bam Bam!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris lands a leg kick that knocks Bam off balance momentarily.
Bam misses with a wild body shot.
Harris swats away the attempt to clinch by Bam.
A low kick from Harris misses
and Bam counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Bam stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bam wants it to stay on the feet.
Bam scores with a push kick.
Bam lands a jab to Harris's midsection.
Harris is looking to clinch.
Bam fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bam throws a quick inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Harris throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bam tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Harris is in Bam's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bam can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Harris is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Bam looking to hit a scissor sweep but Harris is one step ahead there.
Bam is still trying to improve position.

Bam tries to clinch up but Harris circles away and keeps his distance.

Harris definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Bam tries to sprawl but Harris drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Bam is trying to stand.

Harris is looking to advance position but Bam won't allow it.
Bam is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Harris scores with a couple of nice shots.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Bam keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Harris is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Bam really wants to buck Harris off and get back to his feet.

Harris goes for an armbar but Bam turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bam.
Harris is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Bam in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bam wants to control from the top but Harris keeps moving.
Harris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bam Bam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bam throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Harris moves into the clinch.
Bam wants a takedown.
Harris wants a takedown but no success here.
Bam tries to land knees in the clinch but Harris avoids the damage to the body.
Bam is defending well against a takedown attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bam tries to clinch up
and Harris counters with a series of strikes. Bam will be more careful next time no doubt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Harris tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bam defends well and Harris ends up having to push Bam into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Crunch! Bam slams his shin into Harris's torso.
Bam wants to clinch up but Harris keeps it at a distance.

Harris closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bam's guard.
Bam wants to stand and escape but Harris is having none of it.
Bam takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Harris tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bam swivels and escapes.
A head kick from Bam lands but Harris takes it in his stride.
Harris dives in and grabs Bam's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bam pushes down on Harris's head and hops out.

Harris decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Harris passes the guard and advances to mount!
Harris takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Gunner Harris overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Harris, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
