Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Junior Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Junior Dos Santos has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Junior Dos Santos seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Junior Dos Santos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Garcia! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dos Santos rushes Garcia and presses him up against the cage. Dos Santos tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Garcia smiles and moves away.
Dos Santos fails with the takedown. Dos Santos misses with a double jab.
Dos Santos dives in and grabs Garcia's left leg, looking for a takedown. Garcia pushes down on Dos Santos's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Dos Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dos Santos goes for a double leg but Garcia avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Garcia continues to drive forward. Garcia's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Garcia throws a lazy head kick and Dos Santos counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dos Santos. Garcia lands a left hand.
The referee is keeping an eye on Garcia - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dos Santos manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Dos Santos fails in his attempt to clinch. A head kick misses from Garcia. Dos Santos tries to clinch but Garcia moves out of range. Dos Santos looking to score a takedown here. Garcia is defending well but Dos Santos drives through and ends up in Garcia's guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Garcia wants to get back to his feet but Dos Santos is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Garcia looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Dos Santos has picked Garcia up and slammed him! Garcia can't keep hold of the triangle and Dos Santos manages to pass to side control! Garcia struggling a bit here. That's two minutes gone in the round. Dos Santos working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. We've been hearing good reports from Dos Santos's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Garcia struggling a bit here. Garcia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dos Santos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Garcia looks to move to half guard but instead Dos Santos has passed into mount! Damn! Dos Santos tries to control but Garcia wriggling away. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dos Santos with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Dos Santos is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Garcia can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dos Santos is standing up, even though he is in mount. A combination from Garcia does no damage. Dos Santos gets tackled into the cage by Garcia. Garcia maintains the clinch. Dos Santos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Garcia scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Dos Santos misses with a wild body shot. and Dos Santos counters by clinching up. This has been an exciting period of action! Garcia is pressed up against the cage. Dos Santos has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Garcia down to the mat. Garcia avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Dos Santos tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Garcia counters with a straight right hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dos Santos shoots in looking for a takedown but Garcia manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dos Santos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Dos Santos blocks a head kick by Garcia.

Oliver Garcia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dos Santos tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Garcia cracks Dos Santos with a right hand to the side of the head. Dos Santos throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Dos Santos shoots in for a double leg but Garcia sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Dos Santos throws a nice head kick!

That was a close round but I would say that Junior Dos Santos will probably get the nod. That's time! Dos Santos's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Garcia escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Dos Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Garcia throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

They are putting on a show! Nice body kick there by Dos Santos. Garcia displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Dos Santos. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Garcia throws a nice looking combination but Dos Santos bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Garcia throws a looping overhand right but Dos Santos ducks down to avoid it. Dos Santos throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Dos Santos shoots in looking for a takedown but Garcia manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dos Santos's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Dos Santos tries for a takedown but Garcia sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Garcia has closed the distance and engaged Dos Santos in a clinch.

Garcia feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dos Santoss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Dos Santos shoots in looking for a takedown. Garcia tries to sprawl out of it but Dos Santos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Garcia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Dos Santos is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Garcia moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Oliver Garcia!
