Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ramon Case (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ramon Case!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Stan Marsh!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Marsh shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Case manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Case isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Marsh stacks Case on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Marsh!
Case can't do much from the bottom here.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Marsh working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Case takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Case tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Marsh easily slips into full mount!
Case really is a fat lump.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Marsh thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Case is squirming around, avoiding Marsh's attempts to control the action.
Case swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Marsh prevents Case from getting the reversal.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Case has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Marsh is on him like a limpet, forcing Case back against the cage.
Case tries to break free but Marsh pushes him back against the cage.

Marsh turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Marsh manages to end up in side control.
Marsh throws an elbow but Case slips to the side and avoids it well.
You can see the frustration on Case's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Case might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Case is trying to improve his position.
Case struggling a bit here.
Case tries to improve position but can't.

Marsh looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Marsh looks winded!

Case tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Case is not content to let Marsh control the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Marsh in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Ramon Case will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Case circles away from the clinch attempt.
Case throws a sloppy head kick and Marsh moves out of range easily.
Case darts in looking for a takedown but Marsh gets double underhooks and turns Case into the cage.

Marsh escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Marsh shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Marsh sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Marsh is trying to control the action in half guard but Case is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Stan Marsh was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Case tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marsh swivels and escapes.
Case darts in looking for a takedown but Marsh gets double underhooks and turns Case into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ramon Case. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Case is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Marsh pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Case tries to land knees in the clinch but Marsh avoids the damage to the body.

Marsh has hold of one of Case's legs. Case is fighting the takedown attempt but Marsh gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Marsh wants to control from the top but Case keeps moving.
Marsh tries to free his leg and advance position but Case is retaining full guard.

Case throws his legs up looking for a submission but Marsh uses it to pass to side control.

Case is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Marsh off and has taken his back!
Marsh trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Case is looking to control Marsh but Marsh is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Marsh is trying to break free.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Case is looking for the choke from the back position but Marsh is controlling his hands well.
Marsh rolls, trying to escape but Case keeps control of the position.
Case is not going to allow Marsh to sit and survive in this position.

Case is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Marsh is tapping out! This one is all over!
