Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Mewes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Heath Chappell!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mewes lands with a hook. Chappell tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Chappell takes one on the button.
A left lands for Mewes.
Mewes misses with a left hand
and Chappell counters with a solid body kick.
Mewes throws the left hand but Chappell avoids the punch easily.
Chappell throws the kick towards the body but Mewes avoids it.
A head kick misses from Chappell.
Chappell moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Mewes throws a shot to the body.
Chappell pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jason Mewes decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
