Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ghanghis Datsik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pereira comes to the cage accompanied by Its Time For War. The crowd seem to be enjoying Datsik's choice of entrance music: So What. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ghanghis Datsik was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Datsik takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Datsik misses with a kick to the body.
Datsik scores with a punch to the head.
Pereira misses with a two punch combination.
A lazy left from Datsik finds it's target.
Pereira thows a left - swing and a miss!
Pereira is looking to slow Datsik down with leg kicks.
Datsik jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Datsik missing with a left hand there. Pereira was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Datsik on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Datsik has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Datsik sizes up Pereira with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Datsik throws a push kick but Pereira slaps the foot to one side.

Datsik throws a looping overhand right but Pereira ducks down to avoid it.

Pereira fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Datsik.
Alex Pereira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Datsik lands with a shot to the body.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Pereira lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Datsik has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Datsik and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Pereira throws a right and a left that both miss.
Datsik doesn't manage to clinch there - Pereira circles away.
Pereira takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Pereira steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Datsik.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pereira connects with a body shot that sends Datsik's belly button to the back.

and Pereira takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Pereira throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pereira throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Pereira throws a leg kick which misses Datsik's front leg but catches the back leg as Datsik tries to avoid it.
Datsik looks for the body kick but Pereira saw that one coming.
Datsik throws out a loose jab but Pereira uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pereira throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pereira scores with a nice body kick.
Datsik tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Pereira keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pereira cracks the inside of Datsik's front leg.
Pereira scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Pereira takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Datsik misses with a body kick.
Pereira will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pereira throws a right hand that Datsik ducks under and follows up with a left that Datsik also avoids with ease.

Pereira takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Datsik fails with an attempt to clinch.

Pereira drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

and Datsik counters with a nice uppercut.

Datsik throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Pereira counters with an outside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Datsik tries to land a front kick but Pereira steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Pereira takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Datsik wants to clinch up but Pereira keeps it at a distance.
Datsik throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pereira sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nice jab there from Pereira.
Datsik is rocked!
Pereira takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Datsik is still on wobbly legs! Can Pereira finish him?
Pereira connects with a picture perfect right hand that knocks Datsik out cold! This one is over in a flash!
