Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marc Zietsch!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Borocop!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borocop ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Zietsch is looking to land body kicks.
Borocop avoids the head kick by Zietsch.
Zietsch avoids a punch combination nicely.
Borocop throws a shot to the body.
A nice inside leg kick there by Zietsch. That's going to slow Borocop down.
A solid body kick from Zietsch.
Borocop checks a low kick from Zietsch.
Borocop throws a jab when Zietsch was well out of range.
Zietsch stalks Borocop and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Borocop's face. Borocop staggers backwards, shaken.
Zietsch tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Horrible takedown attempt by Zietsch or perhaps it was just good defense by Borocop, which made it look bad.
Zietsch avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Zietsch fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Borocop darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Zietsch throws a jab but it's blocked by Borocop.

Zietsch misses the shot to the body.
Zietsch with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Borocop avoids the head kick by Zietsch.
Borocop lands a two punch combo.


It looks like Marc Zietsch has been cut.
Zietsch connects with a leg kick. Borocop looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Zietsch throws a head kick but Borocop moves out of range.

Borocop's coach down at Nights Watch MMA Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Borocop's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Borocop dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Borocop throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Zietsch stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Borocop throws a body punch but Zietsch moves out of range.
Zietsch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Borocop manages to avoid it.
Good shot there by Zietsch.
Zietsch swings widly with a right hand
and Borocop counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A jab from Borocop does it's job there.
Zietsch scores with a push kick.
Borocop throws a jab but it's blocked by Zietsch.
Zietsch shoots in but no luck this time.
Zietsch misses with a kick to the body.
Borocop tests Zietsch's chin there with a solid looking shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Zietsch. Borocop does a little dance to reset his feet.
Borocop looks to land a combination but Zietsch avoids it well.
Zietsch throws a nice outside leg kick.

Borocop attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Borocop misses with a straight left.
Zietsch misses with an attempted mid kick.
Zietsch throws a head kick but Borocop moves out of range.
Borocop looks to land a right hand but Zietsch moved out of range.
Borocop on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Borocop throws a hook to the side of Zietsch's head but Zietsch sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Zietsch lands with a shot to the body.
Borocop throws an overhand right that lands on Zietsch's shoulder, as Zietsch tries to avoid the shot.
Zietsch throws out a leg kick but Borocop moves out of range and Zietsch only half commits.
Mark Borocop is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Zietsch throws a wild body kick that Borocop sees coming a mile off.
Zietsch misses with a body shot.
Borocop tries to bum rush Zietsch with a series of wild strikes but Zietsch uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Zietsch moves away from the strike by Borocop.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Zietsch fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marc Zietsch. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Borocop throws out a loose jab but Zietsch uses good head movement to avoid it.
Zietsch looks to land a body kick but Borocop moved away.
Borocop loads up on a big right hand but Zietsch slips the punch.
Borocop ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Zietsch looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Zietsch misses with a low kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Borocop lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Zietsch has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Zietsch and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters circling - Zietsch throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Borocop looks to score with a jab to the body but Zietsch is just out of range.
Borocop stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Borocop wants it to stay on the feet.
Borocop misses with a low kick as Zietsch jumps back.
Zietsch pulls out of a head kick attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Marc Zietsch will probably get the nod.

Zietsch lands with an uppercut that bounces Borocop off the cage and back into range.
Zietsch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Borocop manages to avoid it.

Zietsch with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Borocop to score with a decent uppercut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Zietsch uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Borocop cracks Zietsch with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Zietsch tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Borocop pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Zietsch is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Borocop!
Mark Borocop is the new featherweight champion!
Mark Borocop gave a mention to Fury Nutrition Inc. in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
