Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Pawel Konopacki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jordan Belfort ! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Belfort shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Belfort keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Good exchange - Konopacki coming out on top. Konopacki tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. A telegraphed right hand from Konopacki misses the target. Belfort dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Konopacki. That did some damage! Konopacki keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Konopacki looks to land a left hand but Belfort moved out of range nicely. A cross from Belfort lands. Belfort scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Konopacki doesn't seem bothered though. Belfort throws a head kick that misses. Konopacki misses with a straight right.
That's one minute gone in the round. Konopacki closes the distance and clinches. Konopacki has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Belfort clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Belfort wants to escape the position.
Konopacki seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Konopacki is not going to allow Belfort to sit and survive in this position. Konopacki lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Konopacki.
Konopacki lands punches and elbows. Belfort tries to roll but Konopacki sticks to his back.

Belfort rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Belfort is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Konopacki jumps into side control! Konopacki in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Belfort managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Konopacki.
Belfort manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Belfort trying to hold on to Konopacki's head to control him but Konopacki postures up.
Konopacki prevents Belfort from improving his position. Belfort trying to control from the bottom.
Konopacki thows a huge punch but Belfort dodges it nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Belfort working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Konopacki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Konopacki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Belfort looking to control but Konopacki passes into half guard.
Konopacki works his way into full mount! Konopacki lands a heavy elbow. Konopacki trying to control but he's not successful this time. Konopacki raining down hammerfists from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Belfort is in a horrible position here. Konopacki smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Belfort holds on for dear life, controlling Konopacki's posture momentarily. Konopacki with the ground and pound from mount. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Konopacki postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Belfort in real trouble here! The ref calls for Belfort to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
