Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Islam Muranov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pekka Vanntinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Islam Muranov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Pekka Vanntinen's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Muranov avoids the body shot from Vanntinen.
Vanntinen wants to clinch but Muranov slips to the side

and Muranov counters with a single leg into guard. Vanntinen didn't expect that.
Muranov is pushing down on Vanntinen's leg trying to pass to half guard. Vanntinen is fighting to maintain full guard but Muranov has managed to sneak the leg through.
Vanntinen wants to get back to his feet.
Vanntinen is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Muranov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vanntinen on the ground.

Muranov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vanntinen is just riding it out for now. Muranov eventually gives up the hold.

Muranov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Vanntinen pushes Muranov off looking to stand but Muranov dives back in and keeps control.

Muranov is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Vanntinen sees it coming and defends easily.

Muranov is nestled in close to Vanntinen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Well, if Muranov is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Muranov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Muranov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vanntinen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Vanntinen has hold of Muranov's hands but Muranov slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Muranov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Vanntinen pushes Muranov off but Muranov dives into side control.

Muranov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Vanntinen has escaped the position, nice work there.

Muranov wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Vanntinen, who protects the arm well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Muranov is working to tighten his grip on Vanntinen's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Vanntinen has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Muranov is really squeezing tight and eventually Vanntinen passes out! Muranov breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
