Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rock Random (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Peery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rock Random! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anthony Peery! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Random tries to clinch up. Random looks for a takedown but Peery sprawls well. Peery drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Random is trying to keep Peery in close.
Random keeping moving, preventing Peery from controlling successfully. Random is looking for a triangle but Peery pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Random is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Peery must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Peery wants to control from the top but Random keeps moving. Peery decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Random, up you get! Peery scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Peery tries to score with some ground and pound. Random controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peery looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Random is looking to reverse the position. Random gets back to half guard. Peery trying to mount his opponent but Random defends it. Peery wants to control but Random is keeping him busy. Random regains full guard. Nicely done. Random is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Random wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Random utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Random looking for a guillotine here but Peery defends easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Random is breathing heavily. Random keeping moving, preventing Peery from controlling successfully. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Random controls Peery momentarily but Peery frees himself. Random looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Peery content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Random throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Peery escapes and throws Random's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peery wants to control but Random is keeping him busy. Random regains half guard. Peery wants to pass the guard but Random is defending well. Peery is trying to control the action in half guard but Random is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Random is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Peery's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Peery's back! Random scores with punches and elbows. Random patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Peery rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peery tries to roll over but Random keeps him under control. Random not landing any meaningful shots this time. Peery is looking to improve his position.
Random escapes and gets back to his feet. Peery with a poor takedown so Random counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Random stays in close to Peery's body and controls the position. Random thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rock Random dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Random moves into range and clinches up with Peery. Peery breaks the clinch.
Random misses with a takedown attempt and Peery counters with a nice double leg into guard. Random trying to control the position.
Random working for submissions but it's allowed Peery to get to half guard.
Rock Random overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Peery is thwarting Random's attempts to control the position. Peery is pressing down on Random's thigh, looking to free his foot. Random is holding on for now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Random gets full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Random keeping full guard, as Peery tries to pass. Random working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Peery doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Random is tightening it up a little... Peery has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Peery reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Peery taps out! nice BJJ there by Random!
