The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hirvonen moves forwards but Hoshino connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Hoshino misses the jab.
We've been told by Hoshino's head coaches at Rings Russia that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Hirvonen slips a straight right by Hoshino.
Hirvonen misses with an uppercut. Hoshino saw that one coming.
Hoshino misses with a looping right.
Hirvonen has his takedown stuffed
and Hoshino counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
The fighters circling - Hoshino throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hoshino swings for the body but Hirvonen moves out of range.
Hoshino avoids the head kick by Hirvonen.
Hoshino takes a jab right on the kisser.

Hirvonen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Hoshino breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hoshino tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hirvonen was well out of range. Poor timing from Hoshino.
Hirvonen swings for the body but Hoshino moves out of range.

A big right from Hoshino misses.
Hirvonen shoots for a double leg takedown but Hoshino sprawls well. He's pushed Hirvonen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hoshino fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Hoshino thows a body shot but no joy.
Hirvonen slips under a jab.
Hirvonen throws a head kick but Hoshino moves out of range.
Hoshino misses with a looping left.
Hirvonen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Hoshino bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hirvonen's head backwards.
Hoshino works Hirvonen's body with a nice hook.
Hirvonen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hoshino throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hirvonen stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Kantaro Hoshino is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hoshino moves in close and cracks Hirvonen with a massive right hand! Hirvonen, frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by Hoshino!
