Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Artem Korotkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noongar Fella (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fella is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Monster. Artem Korotkov could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Noongar Fella's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Artem Korotkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Noongar Fella!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fella keeps the fight on the outside.
Fella fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Korotkov instigates a clinch.
Fella misses with a knee strike.
Korotkov lands a hook that snaps the head of Fella backwards.
Fella is trying to stall.

Korotkov has picked Fella up - he's going for a ride! Korotkov dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Fella is trying to stand back up but Korotkov is controlling him

Korotkov seems to be working for a kimura but Fella defends the submission attempt.
Korotkov seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Korotkov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fella does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fella is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Korotkov's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Korotkov's back!
Korotkov breaks Fella's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Noongar Fella wasn't active enough on the ground.
Fella tries to score a power double leg takedown but Korotkov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fella somewhat.
Some bone on bone action there as Korotkov checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Fella gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Fella is trying to control the position but Korotkov postures up.
Korotkov trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Korotkov is working hard here to advance position.
Korotkov wants to stand but Fella has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Fella looking to hit a scissor sweep but Korotkov is one step ahead there.
Korotkov tries to stand but Fella is controlling from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Fella closes the distance and clinches up with Korotkov, looking for a takedown. Fella pushes Korotkov against the cage but Korotkov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Korotkov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Korotkov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Korotkov goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Fella rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Korotkov's guard! Nice work there by Fella!
Korotkov pulls Fella in close to his closed guard and prevents Fella from doing any damage or advancing position.
Fella throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Korotkov works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Artem Korotkov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Korotkov is trying to control the position but Fella postures up.

Korotkov lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Korotkov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fella is just riding it out for now. Korotkov eventually gives up the hold.

Fella tries to clinch there but Korotkov circles away.
Korotkov fails with the takedown.
Korotkov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fella as he jumps to the side.
Korotkov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fella sprawls well. Fella wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Korotkov gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Artem Korotkov. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Korotkov seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Fella shoots in for a double leg but Korotkov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Korotkov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Fella is aware though and is defending well.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Korotkov throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Fella escapes and throws Korotkov's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Fella is looking to take a break and control but Korotkov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Fella throwing strikes but Korotkov manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Korotkov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fella knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Artem Korotkov.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Korotkov, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
