Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between bash jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Kearns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, bash jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Kearns!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

jones changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kearns looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Kearns tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Kearns is looking to regain half guard here but jones keeps moving and retains side control.
jones works to advance to full mount. Kearns defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Kearns is trying to escape the mount.
jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Kearns gets back to half guard.
jones with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Kearns has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
jones wants to pass the guard but Kearns is defending well.

That was a close round but I would say that bash jones will probably get the nod.

Kearns looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

jones drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and jones jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kearns pushes jones off and scrambles back to his feet.
Kearns is breathing heavily.
Kearns tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

jones postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Kearns to stand up.
jones tries to clinch up but Kearns circles away and keeps his distance.

jones is pulling down on Kearns's head. It's preventing any offense from Kearns, at least for the moment.
jones can't keep his opponent in guard - Kearns advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

jones tries to roll over but Kearns keeps him under control.

Kearns stands up over jones, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

jones gets to his feet - Kearns follows without any prompting.
jones tries to clinch but Kearns moves out of range.
A left and a right from Kearns both land. Nice combination.

The fight stays on the outside here - jones looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

David Kearns has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Kearns is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Well jones has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
