Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alan Shepard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dallas Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Alan Shepard has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alan Shepard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dallas Kong! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kong shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shepard as he avoids it easily. Shepard stalks Kong and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kong's face. Kong staggers backwards, shaken. Kong scores with a takedown into Shepard's guard. Shepard wants to stand and escape but Kong is having none of it. Kong trying to control but Shepard is working from the bottom. Kong gets to his feet. Shepard looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Shepard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Shepard is breathing heavily. Horrible takedown by Kong or perhaps it was just good defense by Shepard which made him look bad. Shepard gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kong thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kong trying to control but Shepard is working from the bottom. Kong won't allow Shepard to get back to his feet. Kong wants to control from the top but Shepard keeps moving. Kong is looking to stand up but Shepard won't let him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kong drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Shepard manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kong has Shepard in his guard. Shepard is looking to stand up but Kong won't let him. Kong is looking for a triangle but Shepard pushes his legs off easily.
Kong working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Shepard has passed into half guard!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shepard tries to stand and escape but Kong is controlling the position. Kong actively working from the bottom here. Kong wants to improve his position but Shepard is controlling well.
Kong is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Shepard stands up and beckons Kong to join him on the feet. Kong slips a jab and a cross from Shepard.
Nice shot lands for Shepard. Shepard swinging wilding here.
Shepard misses with a series of wild punches.
Shepard connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Shepard throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Kong fails with a takedown attempt. Alan Shepard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dallas Kong. Kong takes one on the chin but seems OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Alan Shepard will probably get the nod. That's time! Shepard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Shepard lands with a nice combination. Kong backs away looking to recover. Kong shoots in and bounces Shepard off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Kong drops back, looking for a kneebar! Shepard looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Shepard looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Shepard! Kong manages to work his way to half guard, despite Shepard's best efforts. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Shepard tries to stand and escape but Kong is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kong is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Shepard pulls his head out easily. Shepard is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Shepard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kong on the ground. Kong trying to control from the bottom.
Kong actively working from the bottom here. Kong wants to control but Shepard is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kong with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Shepard to score with a decent uppercut. Alan Shepard is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. No joy there for Shepard, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kong scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Kong is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Shepard doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kong. Kong is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kong wants to free his trapped foot but Shepard is holding on for dear life with his legs. Shepard is trying to stand up here but Kong is controlling him well. Kong is looking to take a break and control but Shepard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kong is working for a submission of some sort.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kong is pressing down on Shepard's thigh, looking to free his foot. Shepard is holding on for now. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dallas Kong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Shepard gets caught flat footed, as Kong shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Kong postures up and lands a big shot to Shepard's brow. Kong wants to control from the top but Shepard keeps moving. Shepard wants to stand up but Kong is controlling him. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kong is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Kong loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kong won't allow Shepard to get back to his feet. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Kong will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kong misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Shepard lands a nice shot to the body.
Shepard throws a right and a left that Kong avoids nicely. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Kong. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Shepard scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shepard tries to avoid it but Kong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shepard to the ground. Shepard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Alan Shepard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dallas Kong. Kong slips a jab and a cross from Shepard.
Kong is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Shepard lands a glancing blow to the side of Kong's head. Shepard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Shepard is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Shepard lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Shepard. Kong slips a jab and a cross from Shepard.
Kong tries for a takedown but Shepard sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. A right-left combo lands from Shepard. Kong shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Shepard's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kong prevents Shepard from getting back to his feet. Kong drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kong jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Shepard wants to stand and escape but Kong is having none of it. Kong drops back for a leg! Kong postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Shepard is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Kong, into his guard. Shepard wants to get up but he can't break Kong's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Shepard has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kong throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
And that's the end of the fight! Dallas Kong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kong has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
