Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bowie Kuhn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Stanley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuhn kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is walk. Stanley has chosen Frotch Retirement Jam as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Max Stanley! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Santiago Holmes and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stanley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Kuhn. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Stanley has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Stanley takes the fight into the clinch. Stanley dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Kuhn doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Kuhn putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Stanley in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Stanley gets control of Kuhn's arms and successfully pulls guard. Stanley will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Kuhn avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Stanley has his foot on Kuhn's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kuhn works his way back into a safe position though.
