PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Aoki Kakashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ascension Bjj Expert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kakashi comes to the cage accompanied by Nas - Hate Me Now. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ascension Bjj Expert!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kakashi misses with a takedown attempt
and Bjj Expert counters with a nice leg kick.
Bjj Expert looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kakashi is fending him off so far but Bjj Expert persists. Nope, Kakashi circles away and we're back to standing.
Kakashi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bjj Expert tries to avoid it but Kakashi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bjj Expert to the ground. Bjj Expert escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bjj Expert goes for a double leg but Kakashi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kakashi continues to drive forward.
Bjj Expert gets underhooks to prevent Kakashi's takedown attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bjj Expert shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kakashi is trying to defend but Bjj Expert finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Kakashi is working for a kimura here but Bjj Expert manages to reverse the position and he's now in Kakashi's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bjj Expert tries to stand but Kakashi is controlling from the bottom.

Kakashi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bjj Expert is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kakashi.
Kakashi has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Kakashi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

My spies in M Jay's Training Center inform me that Bjj Expert has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
