Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Florencio Nolan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Rufus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Florencio Nolan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Duke Rufus!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nolan forces Rufus back against the cage and clinches.
Nolan's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Nolan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rufus gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Nolan tries to pull guard but Rufus holds him up against the cage and eventually Nolan drops back down to his feet.
Nolan lands a right hand.
Rufus tries to break the clinch but Nolan is controlling the position.
Nolan just leaning against Rufus, taking a breather.
Nolan has Rufus pressed against the cage, preventing Rufus from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Rufus tries to break free but Nolan pushes him back against the cage.
Nolan leaning his opponent against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Rufus's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Nolan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rufus is trying to break the clinch but Nolan has him pressed against the cage.

Nolan manages to pull guard.

Nolan has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Rufus has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Nolan lands an uppercut.
Nolan tries to pull guard but Rufus won't allow it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Florencio Nolan. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nolan wants a takedown but no success here.
Rufus on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Rufus is looking to break free of the clinch but Nolan has double underhooks.
Nolan taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Nolan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rufus just stands there and leans against the cage.
Nolan has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Rufus is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Nolan stalling in the clinch but Rufus improves position.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Nolan keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rufus's efforts to push away.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nolan has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Rufus after a bit of a struggle.
Nolan looking to slow down the pace here.
Rufus can't break the clinch.
Rufus tries to circle away but Nolan has him pinned against the cage.
Nolan is looking to control Rufus's arms but Rufus gets an underhook and turns him. Now Nolan has his back to the cage.
Nolan prevents Rufus from breaking the clinch.
Nolan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Rufus just stands there and leans against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nolan is struggling to control the position.
Nolan is breathing heavily.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Florencio Nolan.
Rufus scores with a nice strike.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rufus connects with a good right hand that stumbles Nolan. Nolan circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Some wild striking there from Rufus.
Nolan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rufus sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nolan somewhat.
Duke Rufus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rufus fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Nolan is out of range.
Rufus lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Nolan goes down and covers up as Rufus starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Duke Rufus!
Duke Rufus seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
