The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Skip Squint and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De La Rosa fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Space sprawls well initially but De La Rosa persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
De La Rosa is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
De La Rosa prevents Space from improving his position.
De La Rosa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Space is just riding it out for now. De La Rosa eventually gives up the hold.
Space trying to hold on to De La Rosa's head to control him but De La Rosa postures up.
Space is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Space bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in De La Rosa's guard.
De La Rosa throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Space escapes and throws De La Rosa's legs to the side, diving into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
