Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luther Dudley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Lomax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lomax has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! Ben Lomax has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luther Dudley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Lomax! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dudley closes the distance and clinches. Lomax looks winded! Dudley scores with a knee to the head.
Dudley really is a fat lump. The referee calls for Dudley to work.

Dudley with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Lomax wants to get back to striking at distance but Dudley won't allow it.

Dudley lands a good knee to the midsection. Lomax won't want to take too many of those. Lomax letting Dudley take a breather here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Luther Dudley. Dudley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lomax, pushing him back against the cage. Lomax tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Dudley taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Dudley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dudley scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lomax doesn't seem bothered though. Dudley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lomax manages to avoid it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dudley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lomax's guard. Dudley showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Dudley working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dudley connects with a couple of short punches. Dudley seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Dudley is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Dudley throws a big right hand that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dudley engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Lomax has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Gracie Barra Hilo (Three 2x Elite Coaches for $300. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one. Dudley cracks Lomax with a solid left hand. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Dudley throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lomax works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Dudley works over Lomax with some ground and pound from guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dudley slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Dudley is in close to Lomax's body, working some short punches and elbows. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luther Dudley dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Dudley scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Dudley is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Lomax looks calm but he's in trouble here. Dudley gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Lomax is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Dudley lets go of the hold and Lomax can pop his arm back in it's socket.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Luther Dudley!
