Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wayne Cambell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Teach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Wayne Cambell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Edward Teach!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Teach feints and as Cambell raises his hands in defense, Teach changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Teach throwing strikes from guard but Cambell blocks nicely.
Teach loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Teach wants to control from the top but Cambell keeps moving.
Cambell definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Teach thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Teach throwing strikes from guard but Cambell blocks nicely.
Cambell pulls Teach in close to his closed guard and prevents Teach from doing any damage or advancing position.
Cambell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Teach on the ground.
Teach with a flurry of punches that miss.

Cambell looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Teach landing with the ground and pound.
Cambell bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Teach's guard.
Cambell scoring with some ground and pound.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Teach looking for subs off his back but Cambell has passed one foot through into half guard.

Teach actively working from the bottom here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cambell not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Teach trying to control from the bottom.
Teach regains full guard. Nicely done.

Teach looking for a guillotine here but Cambell defends easily.
Cambell postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Cambell postures up in Teach's guard and throws a big left but Teach blocks it.

Teach looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Cambell got a little sloppy there for a moment and Teach has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cambell has managed to get both his arms back between Teach's legs - danger averted.
Cambell has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cambell keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Teach's head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cambell content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Teach throws his legs up looking for a submission but Cambell uses it to pass to side control.
Teach takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Cambell is working Teach over with some ground and pound from side control.
Cambell taking a break here but Teach is having none of it and regains half guard.
Cambell working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Teach has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Teach gets full guard.
Teach is looking to sweep but instead, Cambell has passed into half guard.
Cambell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Teach with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Teach is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cambell pulls his head out easily.
Cambell trying to control from half guard but Teach is working away.
Cambell slips a nice elbow through Teach's hands, connecting with Teach's forehead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Cambell thows a huge punch but Teach dodges it nicely.
Teach is looking for a sweep. Cambell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Cambell lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Teach wants to control but Cambell is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Cambell working the head and body with strikes.
Teach is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Cambell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Teach keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cambell prevents Teach from improving his position.
Teach is still trying to improve position.
Cambell blocks the strikes from Teach.

Teach has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Cambell. Oh but Teach has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Cambell goes limp - he's gone! Teach jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Edward Teach!
