Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ieyasu Tokugawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiro Nagasacki! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yuuki Gou and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nagasacki closes the distance and clinches up with Tokugawa, looking for a takedown. Nagasacki pushes Tokugawa against the cage but Tokugawa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tokugawa looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Nagasacki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nagasacki wants to clinch. Tokugawa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nagasacki tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Tokugawa swivels and escapes. Ieyasu Tokugawa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiro Nagasacki. A combination from Nagasacki does no damage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nagasacki closes the distance and clinches up with Tokugawa, looking for a takedown. Nagasacki pushes Tokugawa against the cage but Tokugawa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nagasacki tries to clinch there but Tokugawa circles away.
Tokugawa misses with a takedown attempt and Nagasacki counters with a two punch combo. Nice body kick there by Nagasacki.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nagasacki closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nagasacki lands in his opponent's guard. Tokugawa keeping moving, preventing Nagasacki from controlling successfully. Tokugawa wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Nagasacki is now in half guard. Tokugawa is looking to control Nagasacki's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tokugawa avoid being mounted? Tokugawa tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tokugawa tries to kick Nagasacki off but Nagasacki keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Nagasacki is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Tokugawa is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Nagasacki pulls his head out easily. Tokugawa wants to improve his position but Nagasacki is controlling well.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Tokugawa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tokugawa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Tokugawa is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Nagasacki misses with a takedown and Tokugawa counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Nagasacki!
That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Tokugawa. Nagasacki sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Tokugawa perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Nagasacki moves into full guard.
Nagasacki is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Nagasacki working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Tokugawa has passed into half guard!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nagasacki on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Tokugawa wants to take a breather but Nagasacki is having none of it. Nagasacki keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Well, if Tokugawa is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Tokugawa wants to pass the guard but Nagasacki is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ieyasu Tokugawa dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Tokugawa throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Nagasacki moves into the clinch. Nagasacki pulls guard effortlessly. Nagasacki looking to control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Nagasacki wants to clinch up but Tokugawa keeps it at a distance. Tokugawa scores a takedown into full mount! Tokugawa stands up from mount. Strange move. Nagasacki tries for a takedown but Tokugawa circles away easily so Tokugawa counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Tokugawa stands up from guard. Let's bang! Tokugawa closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Tokugawa lands in his opponent's guard. Nagasacki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tokugawa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tokugawa wants to control from the top but Nagasacki keeps moving. Nagasacki looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Tokugawa has picked Nagasacki up and slammed him! Nagasacki can't keep hold of the triangle and Tokugawa manages to pass to side control! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nagasacki wants to control but Tokugawa postures up. Tokugawa is looking to take a break and control but Nagasacki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nagasacki is looking to reverse the position. Tokugawa passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Nagasacki! Tokugawa fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Nagasacki wants to control but Tokugawa is keeping him busy. Nagasacki is thwarting Tokugawa's attempts to control the position. Tokugawa makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Tokugawa. Nagasacki avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Nagasacki tries to clinch but fails miserably and Tokugawa counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Tokugawa is keen to just control but Nagasacki is a slippery customer. Nagasacki regains full guard. Nicely done. Nagasacki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tokugawa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Tokugawa trying to control but Nagasacki is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tokugawa trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Tokugawa wants to control from the top but Nagasacki keeps moving. Tokugawa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Nagasacki misses with a takedown and Tokugawa counters with a nice double leg into guard. Ieyasu Tokugawa overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Tokugawa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tokugawa stopping the sweep attempt from Nagasacki. Nagasacki utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Nagasacki has control of Tokugawa's left arm, preventing Tokugawa from doing any damage. Nagasacki can't keep his opponent in guard - Tokugawa advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Nagasacki is trying to stand back up but Tokugawa is controlling him
Tokugawa has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tokugawa thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nagasacki's head. Tokugawa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nagasacki keeps working. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tokugawa is trying to work for a kimura but Nagasacki is defending well.
Nagasacki is looking to escape. Nagasacki looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Nagasacki has hold of Tokugawa's hands but Tokugawa slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Good leg kick by Nagasacki there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Nagasacki tries to clinch but fails miserably and Tokugawa decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Nagasacki's guard. Tokugawa is in close to Nagasacki's body, working some short punches and elbows. Nagasacki is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Tokugawa wants to control from the top but Nagasacki keeps moving. Tokugawa advances to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Ieyasu Tokugawa showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tokugawa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
