The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pettor gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Moss connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Pettor shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Martin Pettor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pettor tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Moss counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Pettor looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Malik Moss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martin Pettor.
Pettor darts in trying to clinch
and Moss counters with a series of strikes. Pettor will be more careful next time no doubt.
Pettor shoots for a takedown but Moss saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Moss gets a double leg takedown into Pettor's guard.

Pettor manages to get to full guard.

Pettor looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Moss has picked Pettor up and slammed him! Pettor can't keep hold of the triangle and Moss manages to pass to side control!
Pettor tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Moss content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Moss grinds an elbow into Pettor's temple.

Pettor is trying to control Moss's posture but Moss avoids it.

Moss wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pettor, who protects the arm well.

Moss tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
