Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Merrick Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Polo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kane comes to the cage accompanied by Blood Sugar - Pendulum. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
32 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Merrick Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marco Polo! The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Polo dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Polo throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Kane counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kane. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Kane trying to control but Polo is working from the bottom. Kane postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kane postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Kane trying to control the position from guard on top but Polo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Polo controls Kane momentarily but Kane frees himself. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kane passes easily into side control. Nice work. Kane scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Polo to see if he's OK. Polo takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Polo tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kane wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Polo is still trying to improve position. Kane has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Polo keeps trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Polo defending against the ground and pound. Polo manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Polo tries to get to full guard but Kane has control of the leg. Polo is pressing down on Kane's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kane looking to pass the guard. Kane won't allow Polo to sweep him here. Kane trying to control the position from guard on top but Polo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Polo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kane can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kane missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kane wants to control from the top but Polo keeps moving. Polo trying to control the position.
Kane landing with the ground and pound. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane lands a couple of elbows. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kane throws a big right hand that misses. Polo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kane content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kane landing with the ground and pound. Kane connects with a couple of short punches. Kane trying to control the position from guard on top but Polo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Polo is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Kane trying to control but Polo is working from the bottom. Polo wants to sweep but no luck. Kane postures up.
Kane is looking to work some ground and pound but Polo has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Polo bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kane's guard. Kane is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kane slips a nice elbow through Polo's hands, connecting with Polo's forehead.
Polo is rocked! Kane scores with a big shot! Polo's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Polo! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Merrick Kane! A relieved looking Merrick Kane thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. The defeated Marco Polo had this to say: 'sorry to fans and my team .'.
