Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Volk Kruth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luis Chalas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chalas is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Chubby Jag-U.O.E.N.O. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Volk Kruth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Luis Chalas! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chalas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kruth closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Chalas quickly recovers to half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Chalas is looking to control Kruth's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chalas avoid being mounted? Chalas manages to get to full guard.
Kruth throwing strikes from guard but Chalas blocks nicely. Kruth got a little sloppy there for a moment and Chalas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kruth has managed to get both his arms back between Chalas's legs - danger averted. Kruth wants to control from the top but Chalas keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruth slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Chalas wants to hit a switch here but Kruth passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Chalas there! Kruth putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Kruth trying to control but he's not successful this time. Chalas tries to hold on but Kruth postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Chalas is looking to improve his position but Kruth isn't that keen on the idea. Kruth tries to control but Chalas wriggling away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kruth sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kruth pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Kruth looking to finish Chalas with some ground and pound. This is bad for Chalas! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kruth with shots to the head and body - Chalas looks very uncomfortable down there. Chalas keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Chalas keeps trying to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kruth controlling the position easily from mount. Chalas tries to hold on but Kruth postures up. Chalas sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Kruth is trying to control. Chalas wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kruth not doing much here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kruth tries to pass the half guard into mount. Chalas knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Kruth looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Chalas wants to control but Kruth is keeping busy.
Chalas is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Kruth is staying active.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kruth finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kruth misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kruth throws out a leg kick but Chalas moves out of range and Kruth only half commits. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Volk Kruth dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kruth is looking to chop away at Chalas's legs. Kruth lands a leg kick that knocks Chalas off balance momentarily. Volk Kruth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kruth throws a shot to the body.
Chalas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kruth moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Kruth tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kruth moves into the clinch. Chalas blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Chalas blocks an uppercut.
Kruth leaning his opponent against the cage. Chalas wants to take the fight to the mat but Kruth manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kruth throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Chalass head. Kruth creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Kruth comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Chalas blocks an elbow strike. Chalas jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kruth walks away with a smile on his face. Chalas gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Chalas misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Kruth counters with a lovely straight right hand! Kruth scoring well with a low kick there.
Kruth closes the distance and clinches. Kruth gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Chalas takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Luis Chalas has been cut. Kruth taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kruth seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Chalas blocks an elbow strike. Kruth throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Kruth stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Chalas has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kruth avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Volk Kruth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Luis Chalas. Chalas has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kruth after a bit of a struggle. Kruth looks to throw an elbow but misses. Kruth will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Chalas up against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kruth blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Chalas drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kruth pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kruth scores with a nice head shot. Kruth looks to score with a jab to the body but Chalas is just out of range. Kruth scores with a hook to the body. Chalas takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chalas misses with a double jab.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kruth.
Kruth fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Chalas. Chalas checks a leg kick. Chalas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kruth throws a poor cross that misses
and Chalas counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Kruth. Kruth is pressed up against the cage. Chalas has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kruth down to the mat. Kruth avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chalas misses with a wild body shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Volk Kruth dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Luis Chalas's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Chalas shoots in but no luck this time. Chalas takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kruth jabbing away but nothing is landing. Kruth dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Chalas. That did some damage! Kruth scores with a crisp jab that stopped Chalas in his tracks. Kruth jabs at Chalas's body. Chalas swats away the attempt to clinch by Kruth. Kruth throws a jab but it's blocked by Chalas. Kruth feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Chalas's calf. A slapping leg kick lands for Kruth.
Chalas's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Kruth throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kruth tries to clinch up. Nice uppercut lands for Kruth. That snapped Chalas's head back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chalas changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Kruth wants to slow Chalas down by chopping away at his legs. Chalas misses with an uppercut. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kruth.
Volk Kruth is winning the standup battle so far. Kruth tries to clinch there but Chalas circles away.
Chalas takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Chalas misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kruth throws a leg kick that is checked and Chalas counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Kruth misses with a jab, cross combination.
Kruth moves in looking to clinch but Chalas pushes him off. Kruth looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kruth stalling.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kruth seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Chalas for as long as he can get away with. Chalas regains full guard. Nicely done. Chalas wants to sweep but no luck. This has been an exciting period of action! Chalas is looking to sweep but instead, Kruth has passed into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chalas is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kruth connects with a decent elbow. Chalas gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Chalas tries to get to full guard but Kruth has control of the leg. Kruth is looking to take a break and control but Chalas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Kruth passes into side control, despite Chalas's attempt to control the position.
Kruth lands a nice forearm strike. Kruth takes a little break here. Chalas wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kruth trying to control the action but Chalas is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chalas manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kruth's best efforts. Chalas lands a couple of sideways elbows. Chalas is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kruth scores with a couple of nice shots. This has been an exciting period of action! Chalas is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kruth pulls his head out easily. Chalas is staying active underneath Kruth, who seems content to just control the action from this position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chalas is looking to improve his position.
Luis Chalas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Chalas is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kruth pulls his head out easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Volk Kruth showed his dominance in that final round. Well Kruth has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
