And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Death!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Death darts in trying to clinch
and Unkown counters with a right hand to the body.
We've been hearing reports that Unkown has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Unkown lands a front kick.
Unkown fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Death shoots and misses
and Unkown counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Unkown bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Death's head.

Unkown throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Unkown thuds his shin into the meat of Death's side.
Death misses with a takedown
and Unkown counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Johnny Unkown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Death.
Death looks winded!

Death doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Unkown counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Death is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Death shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.


It looks like Michael Death has been cut.
Death steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Unkown. That one must have hurt.

Unkown rushes Death and presses him up against the cage.

Unkown gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Death regains guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Unkown trying to control but Death is working from the bottom.
Death is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Death prevents Unkown from improving his position.
Unkown moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Death throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Unkown works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Unkown is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Unkown is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Unkown is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Unkown thows a huge punch but Death dodges it nicely.
Unkown wants to control but Death is keeping him busy.
Unkown throwing shots but Death is blocking nicely.

Unkown is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Death is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

A relieved looking Johnny Unkown thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
