Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes into the arena with Tuesday's Gone blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tommy James! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
26 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamie Lynch! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lynch closes the distance looking to clinch and James makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. James shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lynch's guard. Lynch looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Lynch is trying to control the position but James postures up. James trying to control but Lynch is working from the bottom. Lynch looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
James is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. James won't allow Lynch to sweep him here. James got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lynch has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, James has managed to get both his arms back between Lynch's legs - danger averted. James stays in close to Lynch's body and controls the position.

We're going to have a standup here because Tommy James wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. James connects with an inside leg kick. James moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. James throws a right and a left that Lynch avoids nicely. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lynch is defended easily by James. James tries to clinch but Lynch moves away and Lynch holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. James working some nice short punches in the clinch. Still in the clinch, James scores with a nice short uppercut. James is trying to drag Lynch to the mat but Lynch just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. We've been hearing reports that James has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight. James throws a head punch that misses.

James scores with a shoulder strike. A head punch blocked on the inside by Lynch. Lynch prevents the takedown attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! James swings wildly with an uppercut but Lynch uses good head movement to avoid it. Lynch blocks a punch to the side of the head.

James lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. James's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

It looks like Jamie Lynch has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lynch fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but James avoids it really well and circles away. Lynch fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Lynch wants to clinch up but James keeps it at a distance. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lynch tries to grapple but his opponent circles and James counters with a stiff right hand. James misses with a few strikes there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lynch closes the distance but James moves to the side and James counters with a nice leg kick. James keeps the fight on the outside. James lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. James takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Lynch tries to close the distance and clinch up but James swats him away and circles back towards the center. James's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and James duly obliges. James comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. James moves into the clinch. Lynch tries a body shot but James blocks it.

Lynch breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lynch throws a big shot that misses. James has closed the distance and engaged Lynch in a clinch.

Lynch misses with a hook from the clinch. James throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Lynchs head. Lynch blocks the elbow strike.
Lynch has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed James clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lynch avoiding James 's attempts to control his hands. You can see the frustration on James's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Lynch wants to break the clinch but can't.

And that's the end of the fight! Tommy James showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for James, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
