Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John S Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nich DiMagg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John S Pierre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nich DiMagg! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pierre looks for a takedown but DiMagg sprawls well. DiMagg has a takedown stuffed. Pierre defends well against a solid takedown attempt from DiMagg. Pierre on the wrong end of a nice hook. DiMagg throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Pierre's waist but Pierre gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing DiMagg off to one side. John S Pierre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nich DiMagg. DiMagg shoots for a double leg takedown but Pierre sprawls well. He's pushed DiMagg's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Pierre keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. DiMagg looks for a takedown but Pierre sprawls well. Pierre closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into DiMagg's guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. DiMagg working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pierre accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Pierre trying to control but DiMagg is working from the bottom. Pierre with a flurry of punches that miss. DiMagg had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pierre defends it easily. DiMagg looking to control.
Pierre thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DiMagg keeping moving, preventing Pierre from controlling successfully. Pierre working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of DiMagg's head. DiMagg is adopting a defensive guard. Pierre might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Pierre working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Pierre wants to control from the top but DiMagg keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pierre postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. DiMagg working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Pierre. Pierre trying to control but DiMagg is working from the bottom. Pierre works over DiMagg with some ground and pound from guard. Pierre has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. DiMagg wants to stand up but Pierre is controlling him. Pierre wants to control from the top but DiMagg keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pierre with a flurry of punches that miss. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pierre trying to control but DiMagg is working from the bottom.
John S Pierre has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. DiMagg avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pierre fails to land the takedown. DiMagg tries to clinch but Pierre moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John S Pierre dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pierre uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by DiMagg.
DiMagg's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and DiMagg duly obliges. Pierre blocks a head kick by DiMagg.
Pierre throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around DiMagg's waist but DiMagg gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pierre off to one side. DiMagg wants to clinch but Pierre slips to the side and Pierre counters with a thumping low kick. Pierre closes this distance looking for a takedown but DiMagg circles away. Pierre shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as DiMagg sprawls well. DiMagg wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Pierre gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John S Pierre. That's going to take a lot out of him. DiMagg looks to land a body kick but Pierre moved away. Pierre feints and as DiMagg raises his hands in defense, Pierre changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. DiMagg wants to sweep but no luck. DiMagg keeping moving, preventing Pierre from controlling successfully. Pierre won't allow DiMagg to get back to his feet. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Pierre trying to control the position from guard on top but DiMagg is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of John S Pierre. Pierre shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with DiMagg but DiMagg pushes him off and we're back to square one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DiMagg tries to keep at a distance but Pierre has taken the fight into the clinch. DiMagg jumps guard but Pierre turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Pierre has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by DiMagg after a bit of a struggle. Pierre changes levels and goes for a takedown here. DiMagg fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. DiMagg shoots in but no luck this time. DiMagg looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. DiMagg tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pierre paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pierre defends well against a solid takedown attempt from DiMagg. DiMagg has closed the distance and engaged Pierre in a clinch.
Pierre decides to pull guard. DiMagg avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
DiMagg is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. DiMagg must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pierre has his foot on DiMagg's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. DiMagg works his way back into a safe position though. DiMagg controlling from the top position. DiMagg wants to stand but Pierre has a closed guard, so he can't escape. DiMagg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pierre. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pierre has his foot on DiMagg's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. DiMagg works his way back into a safe position though. DiMagg sitting in guard here, content to control. Pierre is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pierre throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

DiMagg wants to clinch up but Pierre keeps it at a distance. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Pierre here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. DiMagg avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pierre stuffs the takedown attempt from DiMagg. DiMagg gets slowly back to his feet. Pierre tries to clinch up but DiMagg circles away and keeps his distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pierre blocks the body kick.
Pierre shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Pierre looking to score a takedown here. DiMagg is defending well but Pierre drives through and ends up in DiMagg's guard. Pierre trying to control but DiMagg is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. DiMagg avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. DiMagg looking to sweep here. No luck so far. DiMagg is pulling down on Pierre's head to control his posture. DiMagg wants to stand and escape but Pierre is having none of it. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Pierre throwing strikes but missing. Pierre got a little sloppy there for a moment and DiMagg has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pierre has managed to get both his arms back between DiMagg's legs - danger averted. DiMagg takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DiMagg lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Pierre! Pierre is squirming around, avoiding DiMagg's attempts to control the action. Pierre regains half guard. Pierre manages to get to full guard.
Pierre escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. DiMagg gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pierre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. DiMagg doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Pierre is tightening it up a little... DiMagg has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! DiMagg reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! DiMagg taps out! Nice BJJ there by Pierre!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). John S Pierre! After winning the bout, John S Pierre thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
