Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tim Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Barns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Galneryus - Everlasting. Danny Barns is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Tim Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Danny Barns!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter with a poor takedown

and Barns counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hunter!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ground and pound from Barns seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Hunter is looking for a sweep.
Barns throwing strikes but missing, from side control.

Barns is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hunter knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Barns looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Hunter is avoiding damage well.

Hunter wants to control but Barns postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Barns goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hunter has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Barns but great work by Hunter.

Hunter avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hunter throws a low kick but Barns moves out of range easily.
Hunter tries to clinch there but Barns circles away.
Tim Hunter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunter shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Barns but Barns pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Hunter tries to clinch up but Barns circles away and keeps his distance.

Barns feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hunter tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Barns manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hunter misses with an uppercut.
Barns fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hunter manages to avoid it.
Barns slips a jab from Hunter.
Barns takes one to the side of the head.
Hunter throws a right hand that Barns ducks under and follows up with a left that Barns also avoids with ease.
Barns missing with a left hand there. Hunter was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Hunter tries to clinch up but Barns circles away and keeps his distance.
Barns is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Hunter rather than just go for the knockout.
Barns shoots in but Hunter avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Hunter shoots for a takedown but Barns saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Barns fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hunter sprawls well initially but Barns persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Danny Barns decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
