Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Olin Brennan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alexis Kaka!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brennan defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kaka.

Kaka closes the distance and clinches.

Kaka has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Brennan clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Brennan manages to reverse the position and now he's in Kaka's guard. Nice work there by Brennan.

Brennan drops back looking for a leg! Kaka is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kaka manages to kick Brennan off! Brennan jumps back into Kaka's guard.

Brennan gets to his feet. Kaka looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Brennan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kaka.
Brennan really is a fat lump.
Kaka fails with a takedown attempt.
Olin Brennan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexis Kaka.
Kaka dives in and grabs Brennan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Brennan pushes down on Kaka's head and hops out.

and Brennan counters by clinching up.

Kaka managing to block the knees to the body from Brennan.
Kaka is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Kaka has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brennan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Kaka has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Brennan avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Brennan prevents a takedown attempt there.
Brennan is trying to push Kaka away but Kaka has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Brennan is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Brennan jumps guard and drags Kaka to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Kaka drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kaka jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kaka wants to pass the guard but Brennan is keeping the position.
Brennan seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Brennan wants to sweep but no luck.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brennan is on top in guard.
Brennan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Olin Brennan wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Kaka shoots in for a takedown but Brennan shows good takedown defense.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kaka tries to improve position but can't.

Kaka shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Brennan but Brennan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kaka shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brennan defends it nicely.

Kaka goes for a double leg but Brennan avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Brennan continues to drive forward.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kaka is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Brennan is defending well for now.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Kaka is trying to pull guard but Brennan turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Brennan lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Brennan is on top in guard.
Kaka wants to sweep but no luck.

Kaka is looking to sweep but instead, Brennan has passed into half guard.
Well, if Brennan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kaka tries to get to full guard but Brennan has control of the leg.
Kaka is breathing heavily.

The fighters are battling for position here. Kaka manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Brennan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Brennan wants to stand but Kaka has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Olin Brennan just wasn't active enough.
Brennan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Brennan avoids the head kick by Kaka.
Kaka shoots in but no luck this time.

That was a close second round but I would say that Olin Brennan will probably get the nod.

Brennan shoots in looking for a takedown but Kaka manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brennan's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Kaka clinches up with Brennan and pushes him back against the cage.
Brennan is pressed up against the cage. Kaka has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Brennan down to the mat. Brennan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kaka darts in and clinches Brennan up against the cage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Brennan tries for a takedown. No joy.
Brennan prevents the takedown attempt.
Kaka takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kaka tries to land a knee to the head but Brennan blocks with his arms.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Kaka has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Brennan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Alexis Kaka comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Brennan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
