Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fu Chu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jose Rizal!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chu lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Rizal sprawling to the canvas. Chu follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Rizal hang on?


Rizal is rocked!


It looks like Jose Rizal has been cut.
Rizal is trying to stand up here but Chu is controlling him well.
Rizal is still in real trouble! Can Chu finish him?
Rizal is looking to improve his position.
Rizal works his way to full guard. Good work.
Rizal seems to have recovered his senses.

Rizal had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Chu is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rizal Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Chu's back instead.
Rizal keeps control of the position as Chu tries to break free.

Rizal patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rizal looking to soften up his opponent with punches.

Chu defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

Rizal has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Chu has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Rizal looks gassed!
Chu manages to reverse the position and now he's in Rizal's guard. Nice work there by Chu.

Chu stands and steps away. Rizal gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Rizal showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Chu.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rizal shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chu as he jumps to the side.
Rizal looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chu is fending him off so far but Rizal persists. Nope, Chu circles away and we're back to standing.
Chu connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Rizal! He's out on his feet! Chu rushes in and drops Rizal with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Fu Chu!
