Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Gillis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Hunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gillis comes to the cage accompanied by I Don't Feel Like Dancing - Scissor Sisters. The crowd seem to be enjoying Hunt's choice of entrance music: Smells Like Teen Spirit. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jamie Gillis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Hunt! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A slow jab from Hunt misses its intended target. Jab from Gillis.
It looks like Mike Hunt has been cut. Gillis scores with a jab to the head.
Hunt lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gillis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hunt avoids it really well and circles away. Hunt fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gillis, pushing him back against the cage. Gillis blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Hunt lands a nice shot to the body. Gillis lands a takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Gillis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Hunt trying to control the position here. Gillis won't allow Hunt to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunt working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gillis. Gillis trying to control but Hunt is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hunt takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Gillis scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Hunt doesn't seem bothered though. A jab from Gillis misses. Gillis chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hunt can pounce on him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gillis takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hunt keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gillis tries to clinch there but Hunt circles away.
Nice uppercut there from Gillis. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gillis slips a straight right by Hunt. Hunt has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gillis finds it's way round the side to connect with Hunt's head. Gillis throws a shot to the body.
A bone on bone clash there as Gillis blocks the leg kick.
Gillis looks to score with a jab to the body but Hunt is just out of range. Hunt throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Hunt tries to work over Gillis's front leg with a kick but Gillis checks it. Hunt misses with a wild body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gillis tries to avoid it but Hunt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gillis to the ground. Gillis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hunt slips under a jab from Gillis. Hunt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Hunt cracks Gillis with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Gillis throws a jab when Hunt was well out of range. A nice inside leg kick there by Hunt. That's going to slow Gillis down. Gillis misses with a wild body shot. Hunt lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Gillis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gillis avoids the head kick by Hunt.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hunt or perhaps it was just good defense by Gillis, which made it look bad.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunt clinches with his opponent.

Gillis throws a head punch that misses. Hunt has Gillis pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gillis manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Jamie Gillis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Hunt. A short right from Gillis on the inside. Hunt swings away with an uppercut that misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hunt gets through Gillis's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Gillis tries to throw a body punch but Hunt avoids it by throwing Gillis back against the cage. A short right hand to the side of the head by Hunt. Gillis misses with a punch to the body.
Hunt manages to break the clinch.
Hunt takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Hunt thuds his shin into the meat of Gillis's side. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Gillis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Gillis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gillis thows a huge punch but Hunt dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jamie Gillis will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Mike Hunt's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Gillis drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Gillis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Gillis tries to free his leg and advance position but Hunt is retaining full guard. Gillis throwing strikes from guard but Hunt blocks nicely. Hunt bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Gillis's guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gillis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's one minute gone in the round. Hunt is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Gillis throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Gillis punching from mount but Hunt doing a good job of avoiding damage. Hunt is working to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gillis throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hunt because Gillis loaded up on that one. Gillis lands a heavy elbow. Gillis lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Gillis throwing strikes here but Hunt is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gillis lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Gillis lands with some strikes. Hunt wants to hold on but Gillis pushes him away. Gillis misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Hunt is in all sorts of trouble here.
Gillis is landing with some decent strikes but Hunt is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunt is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Hunt is in a horrible position here. Gillis smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gillis cracks Hunt with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gillis working Hunt over with strikes here. Gillis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hunt is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hunt scores with the left hand. Gillis knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like Jamie Gillis has been cut. Hunt throws a leg kick but Gillis sees it coming and moves out of range. Hunt takes one to the side of the head.
Hunt throws a lazy right hand but Gillis sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Gillis stuns Hunt with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Hunt misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gillis.
Gillis jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hunt misses with a low kick.
A telegraphed right hand from Gillis misses the target. Gillis bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hunt's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hunt misses with a looping right. Mike Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunt ducks under a wild hook from Gillis. Hunt lands a jab. Hunt feints and as Gillis raises his hands in defense, Hunt changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Gillis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Gillis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Gillis sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Hunt defending well though. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Hunt is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Gillis's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Gillis's back! Jamie Gillis is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hunt lands with a hammerfist to the side of Gillis's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hunt missing with punches from the back. Hunt gets his hands free as Gillis looks to control. Jamie Gillis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gillis prevents Hunt from getting a body triangle. Hunt missing with strikes. A lull in the action here.
Hunt scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunt has good solid back control here. Hunt lands shots from the back. Hunt lands a shot to the head. Mike Hunt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gillis is having to fend off submission attempts from Hunt, who is looking to sink in the choke. Hunt doesn't have the hooks in though and Gillis manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard. Gillis won't allow Hunt to sweep him here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gillis postures up and lands a big shot to Hunt's brow. Gillis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Gillis scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Hunt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Gillis has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
