Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Bishop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moore has chosen Frank Klepacki - March to doom as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Kevin Bishop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 17 - 3, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bobby Moore!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moore checks a leg kick nicely.
Kevin Bishop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bishop scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Bishop on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Moore. Moore obviously looking to wear him down.

It looks like Kevin Bishop has been cut.
Moore throws a series of strikes that have Bishop backpedaling.

Moore closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bishop to the mat! Bishop manages to get full guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kevin Bishop.

Moore feints and then cracks Bishop's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Bishop down.
Moore goes for a double leg but Bishop avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bishop continues to drive forward.

Still in the clinch, Bishop scores with a nice short uppercut.

We've been hearing reports that Bishop has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Moore is on top in guard.

Bishop manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Moore manages to get himself to full guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Moore throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Moore finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Bishop chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Moore can pounce on him.
Moore throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Bishop bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Moore thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bishop if he has to take too many more of those.

Bishop is looking to wear down Moore with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Moore throws a head kick but Bishop moves out of range.
Bishop throws out a loose jab but Moore uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bishop misses with an uppercut.

Bishop ducks under a wild hook from Moore.
Bishop catches Moore with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Bishop dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Moore. That did some damage!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Moore.
Bishop paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Moore throws a low kick but Bishop avoids it.
Bishop lands an overhand right.
Bishop misses the shot to the body.
Bishop bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Moore's head.
Bishop darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Bishop lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bishop pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Moore dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Moore slaps away a takedown attempt from Bishop, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bishop stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Bishop drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Moore tries to buck Bishop off but Bishop is having none of it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Moore manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Bishop is trying to control. Moore wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Bishop thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bishop not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Moore moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Moore pulls Bishop in close to his closed guard and prevents Bishop from doing any damage or advancing position.
Moore avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kevin Bishop will probably get the nod.

Bishop shoots in looking for a takedown but Moore manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bishop's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Bishop shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Moore as he avoids it easily.

and Bishop connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Moore's corner calls for a 1-2. Moore obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Bishop swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Bishop shoots in looking for a takedown. Moore tries to sprawl out of it but Bishop keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Moore manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Bishop. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bishop does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bishop, as that shot connected.
Bishop has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Moore finds it's way round the side to connect with Bishop's head.

Moore takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Bishop throws a hook to the side of Moore's head but Moore sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Moore takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Bishop looks to land a left hand but Moore moved out of range nicely.
A nice inside leg kick there by Moore. That's going to slow Bishop down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
