Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alan Blaver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nick Angel! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blaver instigates a clinch. Blaver landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Blaver drops down looking for an ankle pick but Angel pulls his leg out and moves away.
Angel tries to keep at a distance but Blaver has taken the fight into the clinch. Angel wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Blaver digs a right hand into Angel's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Angel's gas tank. Blaver presses Angel against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Blaver with a knee to the head.
Blaver lands a nice shot to the body. Blaver prevents Angel from breaking the clinch. Blaver tries for a takedown. No joy.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Blaver lands a knee to the head.

Blaver digs a right hand underneath Angel's ribcage. Angel let out a lung full of air as it connected. Blaver jumps into guard, dragging Angel to the mat.
Blaver has his hands on Angel's head, controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blaver tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Blaver looking to control.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back. Blaver tries to land a sweep but no joy. Blaver is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Angel won't allow Blaver to pass to mount. Blaver moves nicely into side control. Blaver lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Angel down.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Blaver gets in close and instigates a clinch. Blaver presses Angel against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Angel tries to break the clinch but Blaver is controlling the position. Angel wants to break the clinch but can't.

Blaver unloads a knee to the mid-section. Angel lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Blaver takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Knees in the clinch landing for Blaver.

Blaver pushes Angel back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Blaver scores a nice knee to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Blaver crunches a lovely knee into Angel's ribcage. Knees to the body from Blaver.
Blaver lands a nice knee to the body. Angel is trying to break the clinch but Blaver has him pressed against the cage. Blaver scores a nice knee to the body.

Angel is fighting off a takedown attempt but Blaver is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Angel to the mat. Angel regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Blaver pushes down on Angel's leg and manages to get into half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Blaver working the head and body with strikes. Blaver throws a strike but Angel avoids it easily and moves to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alan Blaver dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Blaver bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Angel wants to get back to his feet. Blaver grinds an elbow into Angel's temple. Blaver in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Angel on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Angel is breathing heavily. The strikes coming from Blaver are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Blaver lands a few punches from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Angel tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Blaver trying to control. Blaver throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Blaver is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Angel. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Blaver trying to control momentarily.
Blaver scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Angel is looking for a way out. Blaver is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Angel can do to turn this around?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blaver throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Angel!
Angel defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Blaver's arms. Blaver is throwing strikes by Angel counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Angel regains half guard. Blaver thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Angel's head. Blaver frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blaver cracks Angel with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Angel is trying desperately to improve position. Blaver punishing his opponent with strikes. Angel is bucking up trying to escape but Blaver cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Angel is rocked! Blaver looking to isolate an arm here. Angel doesn't see it coming and as Blaver extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Blaver!
