Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aron Riddick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Blockhead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Riddick kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is Proletar. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Aron Riddick ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jonny Blockhead! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Blockhead looks for a takedown but Riddick sprawls well. Riddick throws a head kick that half lands.
Blockhead avoids a punch combination nicely.
Riddick shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Blockhead's guard. Riddick trying to control the position from guard on top but Blockhead is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Riddick gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Blockhead throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Blockhead throws a combination that misses and Riddick decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Blockhead's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Riddick wants to pass the guard but Blockhead is keeping the position. Riddick could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Riddick slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Riddick stops Blockhead from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blockhead keeping moving, preventing Riddick from controlling successfully. Blockhead is looking to sweep but instead, Riddick has passed into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Blockhead is working an open guard so Riddick takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Blockhead keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Blockhead pushes Riddick up against the cage in a clinch. Riddick manages to pull guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Blockhead won't allow Riddick to get back to his feet. Riddick is breathing heavily. Riddick lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Blockhead! Blockhead is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Blockhead has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Riddick 's lack of action.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Riddick pushes down on Blockhead's leg and manages to get into half guard. Blockhead is trying to get back to full guard. Riddick tries to pass to full mount but Blockhead defends it. Riddick wants to stand up but Blockhead is controlling the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Blockhead makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Riddick fails with the takedown and Blockhead counters with a single leg into guard. Riddick didn't expect that. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aron Riddick dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Blockhead doesn't succeed with the takedown and Riddick counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Riddick wants a takedown.
Riddick is looking to control Blockhead's arms but Blockhead gets an underhook and turns him. Now Riddick has his back to the cage. Blockhead escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Blockhead fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Riddick sprawls well initially but Blockhead persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Riddick is trying to control but Blockhead passes into side control!
Riddick avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Blockhead. Riddick is trying to control Blockhead's posture but Blockhead avoids it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Blockhead is working Riddick over with some ground and pound from side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Blockhead is looking to take a break and control but Riddick is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Riddick struggling a bit here. Riddick is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Blockhead asserts his dominance and retains side control. Riddick is trying to control Blockhead's posture but Blockhead avoids it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Riddick slips a jab and a cross from Blockhead.

Blockhead is looking to clinch. Riddick shoots in for a double leg but Blockhead sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aron Riddick . That's going to take a lot out of him. Blockhead fails with the takedown. Blockhead tries to clinch but fails miserably and Riddick counters with a nice double leg into guard. Riddick has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Riddick stands up from guard. Let's bang! Riddick tries for a takedown but Blockhead sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Blockhead tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Riddick swivels and escapes.

Blockhead is not content to let Riddick control the position. Blockhead wants to control but Riddick postures up. Blockhead striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Blockhead throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Riddick remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Blockhead shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Riddick holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Riddick decides to pull guard. Riddick manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blockhead manages to get himself to full guard.

Riddick gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Blockhead fails with the takedown and Riddick counters by moving into the clinch. Blockhead prevents the takedown attempt.

Blockhead drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Riddick has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Blockhead off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Blockhead wants to clinch but Riddick slips to the side and Riddick counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Blockhead makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Blockhead.

Riddick thows a big elbow that misses. Riddick pushes down on Blockhead's leg and manages to get into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Riddick seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Blockhead is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Riddick wants to take a breather but Blockhead is having none of it. Blockhead wants to control but Riddick is keeping busy.
Riddick decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Horrible takedown by Riddick or perhaps it was just good defense by Blockhead which made him look bad. Riddick throws a push kick but Blockhead slaps the foot to one side. Blockhead tries to close the distance and clinch but Riddick swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Blockhead keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Blockhead looks to throw the jab but Riddick is out of range. Blockhead feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Riddick 's calf. A low kick from Blockhead is predictable there and Riddick counters by moving into the clinch. Blockhead manages to break the clinch.
Jonny Blockhead has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Blockhead fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Blockhead gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Riddick trying to control but Blockhead is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Aron Riddick showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Riddick , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
