Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dirt McGirt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaheli Sonni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGirt kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Kuba Knap - Zbyt dziabnięty. Sonni has chosen Chica as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

17 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Kaheli Sonni!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Dean Styles and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGirt slips a straight right by Sonni.
McGirt blocks a head kick by Sonni.
A bone on bone clash there as McGirt blocks the leg kick.
Sonni avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sonni misses with a leg kick
and McGirt counters with a nice uppercut.
Sonni throws a leg kick but McGirt moved away.
Sonni connects with a solid leg kick.
McGirt throws a sloppy head kick
and Sonni counters with a good low kick that McGirt was not able to check.
Sonni walks into a jab.
Sonni is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McGirt.
Sonni moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

McGirt wants to clinch.
McGirt dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sonni is putting a hurting on McGirt here, landing some big shots from side control.
Sonni has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Sonni tries for a kimura but McGirt is defending well.

Sonni is looking to take a break and control but McGirt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
McGirt is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Sonni swings around for an armbar but McGirt sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Sonni's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sonni is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

McGirt wants to stand but Sonni is controlling his posture from full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sonni controls McGirt momentarily but McGirt frees himself.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaheli Sonni dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
McGirt throws a body kick that misses.
Sonni slips under a jab from McGirt.
Sonni misses with a body shot.
That kick from McGirt tenderised Sonni's leg. Sonni is trying to keep his angry face on.
McGirt walks forward, straight into a front kick from Sonni.
Sonni lands a jab to the nose.
Sonni throws a leg kick but McGirt sees it coming and checks it nicely.
A slow jab from Sonni misses its intended target.

Sonni lets loose with a powerful body kick. McGirt will feel that in the morning.
McGirt connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sonni's hands.
Sonni swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sonni throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by McGirt.
McGirt tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sonni was well out of range. Poor timing from McGirt.
Kaheli Sonni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sonni crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from McGirt - the referee stops the clock and Sonni gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says McGirt. Sonni manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Sonni closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. McGirt quickly recovers to half guard.
Sonni wants to take a breather but McGirt is having none of it.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Let's hope that Sonni has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kaheli Sonni.
Sonni is looking to land body kicks.
Sonni cracks McGirt with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
A slow jab from McGirt misses its intended target.
Sonni drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

McGirt wants to control but Sonni postures up.

McGirt regains half guard there - taking advantage of Sonni's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Sonni slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
McGirt utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sonni stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGirt swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Sonni might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control McGirt haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Kaheli Sonni was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Sonni throws a big shot that misses.

Kaheli Sonni showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

McGirt checks the leg kick nicely there.
McGirt lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Sonni walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
McGirt throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sonni sees it coming and avoids it easily.
McGirt misses with a right hand
and Sonni decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in McGirt's guard.
McGirt is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Sonni looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

McGirt seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Sonni is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sonni is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
McGirt decides to stand up.
Sonni thows a leg kick but McGirt checks it
and McGirt counters with an inside leg kick.
McGirt scores with a sloppy right hand. Sonni should have avoided that one.

McGirt slaps away a takedown attempt from Sonni, before circling back to the center of the mat.
McGirt connects with a leg kick. Sonni looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Sonni fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but McGirt is out of range.

McGirt darts in and clinches Sonni up against the cage.
Sonni is trying to maintain a safe position but McGirt gets an underhook and turns Sonni into the cage.
McGirt throws a punch but it's blocked by Sonni.
McGirt swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Sonni pulls McGirt into guard.
Kaheli Sonni has got the better of the ground game so far.
McGirt not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Sonni throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Sonni is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McGirt is aware though and is defending well.
Sonni is pulling down on McGirt's head to control his posture.

McGirt is looking to stand up but Sonni won't let him.

Kaheli Sonni is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

McGirt tries to stand but Sonni is controlling his head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McGirt gets to mount! Sonni was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Dirt McGirt.
I think Sonni has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
