The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guster moves in looking to clinch but Charlie pushes him off.
Guster tries to close the distance and clinch up but Charlie swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Charlie counters with a nice double leg into side control. Guster won't be happy with that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Charlie takes a little break here. Guster wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Charlie cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Charlie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Guster tries to clinch but Charlie moves out of range.
Guster pushes Charlie up against the cage in a clinch.
Charlie drops down looking for an ankle pick but Guster pulls his leg out and moves away.

Charlie uses his free foot to push down on Guster's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Guster.

Charlie postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Guster looks a forlorn figure.
Guster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Charlie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Charlie jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Guster walks away with a smile on his face. Charlie gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Charlie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Guster's waist but Guster gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Charlie off to one side.

Charlie shoots for a double leg takedown but Guster sprawls well. He's pushed Charlie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

I would just about give that final round to Burton Guster.
