Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davies's entrance music is waaaaaaaaaaaaaa. A fine choice. Carl Johnson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Scott Davies! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl Johnson! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Davies shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Johnson is desperately trying to improve his position but Davies has a good base and remains in mount. Davies unloading with bombs! Davies can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Johnson is looking to escape. Johnson is looking to improve his position but Davies isn't that keen on the idea. Johnson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Davies can't control as he wanted to and Johnson manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Davies is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Davies to get the leverage. Davies controlling the action here. Johnson is staying active underneath Davies, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Davies lands a nice short elbow. Johnson is looking for a sweep. Davies is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Johnson is looking to control Davies's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Johnson avoid being mounted? Davies wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working. Davies is trying to work for a kimura but Johnson is defending well.
The fighters are battling for position here. Johnson manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Johnson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Davies manages to get himself to full guard.
Johnson sitting in guard, not really doing much. Davies working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Johnson. Davies looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Davies is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson trying to control but Davies is working from the bottom. Davies throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Johnson passes Davies's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Davies is refusing to be controlled, as Johnson sits in half guard. Johnson not doing much here.
Davies wants to get back to his feet.
Davies won't allow Johnson to pass to mount. Johnson moves into full mount! Davies won't be happy about that! Davies is working to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson looking to control but Davies is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Davies throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Davies is trying to escape the mount but Johnson keeps good control and instead manages to take Davies's back.
Johnson working for a choke but Davies is defending well. The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Johnson's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Davies is trying to stand back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Davies hold on?

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Davies is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Johnson is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! Davies is tapping out! This one is all over!
